20th Century Roman Relief in Plaster from the NY Carlsberg Glyptotek

20th Century Roman Relief in Plaster from the NY Carlsberg Glyptotek

1,800.00

A beautifully, naturally weathered Roman relief in plaster.

The frieze depicts four figures. There is some slight loss to the piece but the majority of the damage, such as to the faces, would have been apparent on the original.

To the side of the piece is a small copper badge stating 'Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Kobenhavn, Eneret'. The original is most probably within the museum's collection. A large and imposing piece ready to be hung straight on the wall.
