The Berwick

The Berwick footstool by Noble.

Berwick Square 2.jpg

The example photographed here is 120 x 90cm, however these can be made in any size.

Both the frame making and upholstery are carried out within a 20 mile radius of our base in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. We use traditional methods and materials, which are carefully and sympathetically balanced with modern techniques and equipment. This allows us to keep the build of each footstool as true to the original as possible.

The Frame

Each frame is made to order by hand in Wiltshire. We use sustainable beech as standard with oak tapered legs. Great time and focus was spent sourcing the correct frame maker for The Berwick, ensuring each stool will last a lifetime. We are extremely proud of our frames and feel it’s important to explain to you what lies beneath the outer layers.

These frames can be made in any size.

The Upholstery

The Berwick is upholstered in Tetbury using a careful blend of traditional methods and materials, as well as modern techniques and equipment where appropriate. We follow a build up process which is in-keeping with the original design, however all parameters can be adjusted to ensure maximum comfort and suitability to the customer.
